Police today arrested a 31-year-old Hamilton man following searches in Hamilton and Rotorua.
He was arrested at a property in Hamilton.
“We are glad to get this result and hope it provides some relief to the family,” Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Van Kempen said.
“We still have a long way to go, but today’s arrest marks an important milestone in our investigation, and the public has played a significant part in today’s arrest.
"We know Paige’s death will likely be weighing heavily on this person and it is important that we speak to them to understand the full picture of what occurred."
