Live All the celebrity looks from the SAG Awards 2025

The 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards are taking place tonight at the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, with a host of Irish stars in the running for coveted awards.

The SAG Awards celebrate excellence in movies and TV and are voted on by 122,600 eligible voters within the actors' union SAG-AFTRA, and is largely considered the last significant awards stop before the Oscars, which take place on 2 March.

This year's SAG awards ceremony will also be live streamed around the world by Netflix for the second time in a row.

Leading the pack for nominations are Wicked in the film categories with five nominations, and Shōgun in the television categories.

However, eyes at home will be on Ireland's hopefuls, with Nicola Coughlan, Colin Farrell, and Andrew Scott all vying for a gong.

Farrell and Scott are both in the running in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series category. Farrell is nominated for his role in The Penguin, while Scott is up for his turn in Ripley.

They're up against Richard Gadd for Baby Reindeer, Javier Bardem for Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story and Kevin Kline for Disclaimer.

Coughlan, meanwhile, is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in Bridgerton, the Netflix megahit. She's facing off against Keri Russell (The Diplomat), Anna Sawai (Shōgun), Kathy Bates (Matlock) and Allison Janney (The Diplomat).

The ceremony takes place in the aftermath of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires that began on 7 January. In response to the crisis, the guild launched a disaster relief fund for SAG-AFTRA members who have been affected by the fires. Prodcuers also said that the show will acknowledge the disaster and honour those affected by it.
