Returning to the First Dates restaurant, Hansun and Cillian are two best friends from Louth who have been unlucky in love.
In 2023, 25-year-old Hansun – under the watchful eye of his drag alter-ego, Pluto – was paired up with happy-go-lucky Ciaran from Dublin, whose idea of perfection was a can in the shower.
Sadly, the two didn't hit it off, but the barista was determined to meet his match in the First Dates restaurant. This time around, it seems like he did just that - kind of.
The match-makers paired Hansun up with 24-year-old Mark from Carlow. The tattooed art student - who arrived wearing a tanktop he crocheted himself - turned out to be a delightful date, with the two sharing fashion icks and tales of charity shop blowouts.
Elsewhere in the restaurant, astrophysics graduate Cillian was hoping to find love following his last appearance on the show.
In 2024, the 23-year-old was paired up with the lovely Alex. Unfortunately, the two didn't hit it off but did agree to become firm friends.
This time around, Cillian was paired up with physiotherapist Carl from Wexford. Before they could chat too much, though, their date was interrupted by a rogue bread roll - with Cillian only missing a dough-related injury thanks to his friend's poor aim.
With this subtle sign in action, Cillian excused himself for a best-friend date de-brief in the bathrooms with Hansun, which allowed Carl and Mark to catch up at the table.
Temporarily swapping dates, each singleton revealed that the spark was missing for each of them. Happily, they agreed that they would be better off becoming a foursome of friends.
That is, until, Carl and Hansun hit it off!
To the surprise and delight of the match-makers, the barista and physio began dating after the show, which technically counts as a First Dates win.
