Saturday Night Live, the iconic comedy sketch series, celebrated its 50th anniversary with a star-studded special, which took place in New York City's last night.
Scores of former cast members and celebrities descended on the Big Apple for the show, including Tina Fey, Steve Martin, John Mulaney, Amy Poehler, Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga.
Comedians who made their name on the show - such as Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig and Mike Myers - returned to the stage in Studio 8H, taking part in both new sketches and ones that revisited the show's most memorable skits.
Paul Simon, Lil Wayne, Paul McCartney and Miley Cyrus were among the musical performances, with Cyrus performing a moving tribute to Sinead O'Connor, who made headlines after her SNL appearance during which she ripped up a photo of the then-Pope John Paul II.
The event drew an impressive crowd, with A-listers such as Miley Cyrus, Emma Stone, Sabrina Carpenter and more in attendance. And, of course, the outfits were almost as noteworthy as the guest list.
Arguably most memorable was Oscar winner Emma Stone, who wore a custom scarlet Louis Vuitton gown with exaggerated hip detailing that Stone filled with popcorn - a delightful take on dressing to a theme.
Sabrina Carpenter channelled her Old Hollywood aesthetic once again in a champagne-hued crystal embellished gown, while Blake Lively wore a shimmering silver number by Tamara Ralph.
Lady Gaga, meanwhile, sported a striking new hairstyle - with a sharp micro-fridge and bleached eyebrows - that paired perfectly with her chic but edgy dark grey satin gown.
Kristen Wiig looked sultry in an Irish design, stepping out in a lingerie-inspired gown by Irish designer Simone Rocha, which she paired with embellished shoes.
